Recently, I joined Knitting Elegance KAL. I now own more than 10 books of Let's Knit series. I just bought 3 more this past weekend at NYC.

Based on one Japanese pattern, I finished this pair of fingerless glove.

small finds

I only went to one summer concert of Clay Aiken in Philadelphia. He was so funny and ease on stage and he still sings so beautifully. I can't wait till December for his Christmas tour. Clay singing Christmas songs is a holiday must!

I bought a pencil case at Target with zipper around and cushion inside. Now it is my travelling sock case, with two sets of #1 dp needles, sock yarns, pattern sheets. Too bad it does not have handle but I am happy to carry it along and not afraid bending these tiny needles.

I am finishing a lacey top (Lotus Blossom Top from Interweave Knit). It has been on my back burner and now the summer is almost coming to the end, so I desparately try to finish it so I can wear it while the weather is still warm. I am using TLC cotton in lime green and 4 skeins so far.

Here is a list of knitting projects I am currently working on,

(1) Frost and Snow Shawl from "A Gathering of Lace"
I just started it and now go into row 41. The chart is quite simple to see and follow since I enlarged it. I used an alpaca/silk blend lace yarn for this shawl. I first just used one strand and found it difficult to manipulate because it is just too thin so I restarted on two strands and it works beautifully.
(2) Shetland Triangle shawl from "Wrap Style"
I like this pattern and would like to use a very fancy yarn to make it but for some reasons, I quickly started it using just a cheap baby yarn thinking I can use this shawl anytime I want. I am half way done and it is softer than I expected.
(3) Monkey sock from knitty,com
I was longing to knit this one for a long time but I am too busy with my second pomotmous sock. Now I got this beautiful Sock That Rock lightweight yarn I can wait to cast on a new one. Let me tell you, this yarn is magic!
